As part of the school of architecture's centennial celebration, UHPC (ultra high performance concrete) was used to design a piece that could be replicated and placed across the school, To symbolize one hundred years of history, the concrete chair had a distinctly clear, empty backrest, inviting students past and present to fill the void with the next 100 years of history.

Construction + formwork for the chair itself (used from reclaimed MDF and scrap ply)

Finished product (with a couple structural integrity testers) (and one very enthusiastic tester bent on destroying the concrete chair)
